New Product Development- ‘CYCLOPS’

Inclusive Play (UK) ltd will be launching the prototype of their latest product, Cyclops at Saltex this year. the 2.4m high structure incorporates wireless DECT technology and solar power to bring sight and sound adventures in outdoor play into the 21st Century.

Cyclops utilises optical and secure wireless technology to enable children to look round the park and hopefully find and talk to their Cyclops friend! An LCD screen is set into the structure and children can move the controls to adjust their view. The screen is housed at an optimum height for wheelchair users, with a recessed footwell to allow a wheelchair user to get close to the action.

Children can then talk to the other Cyclops user who could be anywhere in the park – the distanct between the units is almost limitless and there is no wiring or underground cabling. An induction loop will be included for the hard of hearing and add-ons such as the LED volume indicator and ‘squeaky’ voice-changer make this a real technological stimulation of the senses.

Technology has played a huge part in the development of this product and solar panelling at the top of the unit ensures that the product is not only a winner with the children but also the environment.
